I just joined up with the Keyword Academy yesterday for the $1.00 trial and I’ve gotta say I’m pretty impressed with their stuff so far. I ploughed through all the course material available to me yesterday and started going through the process.

I thought that I was getting pretty good with niche marketing and finding good leads on creating niche websites. I’ve created a few in the last couple of months and one of them is even starting to trickle in the adsense revenue. Not much but it’s a start. Turns out that I got lucky with that particular keyword phrase.

[Edit: Feb 11] As a result of my trial with The Keyword Academy I’m now a fully paid member and plan to stay. Go to the Keyword Academy to check out their stuff. I’m impressed and I think most people will be.

It’s not a get rich quick scheme and requires a lot of work so be prepared. The business model is a monthly subscription service but for a $1.00 [edit: first month is now free] trial you get access to everything in the course and you can cancel at anytime in the first month with no fear of being charged.

Mark and Court now have a $1000 / month team which I have signed up for. It’s no extra charge and you get extra emails giving you motivation and making you accountable to yourself. Apparently they have 100 or so members making a cool grand every month and want more (members making a grand that is).

When I first tried their course some months ago they taught you how to do the research on keywords manually. This was serious dullsville involving lots of cutting and pasting and Googling to find out page rank. In short it sucked and I hated it. I was all into one keyword, one mini site at the time so built a couple which are now paying for my subscription plus a bit extra. I’m now in the mind set that mini sites suck (too much work and too many domain fees) and I think Google is saying they suck now too.

Mark and Court now have some seriously useful software which cuts all that monotonous crap out. All you have to do now is use the Google adwords tool to find a lot (I’m talking thousands or tens of thousands) of keywords which you download as csv’s and paste into their Niche Refinery software. Job done . Now you just have to wait for it to spit out a list of your valid keywords.

So what will you actually learn at The Keyword Academy. As mentioned above you will learn the importance of keywords and how to pick the ones that are worth going after. Your first port of call will be the core videos. Things have changed a bit since these went up but they are still excellent at giving you a good overview of what’s going on.

From there you read a series of articles or chapters which details step by step exactly what you should be doing at each stage of the program. If you are stuck you can email them anytime for clarification but unless you are completely new you should be right. If you are nervous about building your first website Mark and Court give you the rundown on how to do it and make it look easy. They also give you some excellent pointers on making your site SEO friendly.

After you have built your first website the articles then guide on the best ways to write articles for your websites and how to go about promoting them so they get to the top spot in Google. Monetizing your sites is covered as well but it’s recommended that you don’t load your site with ads until you start getting some traffic. This is good advice considering that some newbies i.e. me find stat checking very distracting and at times soul destroying.

That’s it in a nutshell. When you’ve been around Internet Marketing for a while you soon learn that it’s easy in that it’s not complicated and hard in that it is a shit load of work. There’s no such thing as a push button system that you can set and forget.

For incentive to hang around and keep paying the monthly fee you have access to a forum where you can hang out with like minded individuals. Webinars are also a monthly thing and they are jam packed full of information on things from managing your time, motivation and that all important keyword research. Internet Marketing changes all the time so the Webinars are a good way for Mark and Court to give you the low down on what’s occuring.

If you want something that will definitely work if you do the labor and get it into your head that your going to be slogging away for a long time before seeing any dough then give Mark and Court a chance to show you how to do it right.
