If  you are into Internet Marketing then you need to watch these videos. It’s all straight from the horse’s mouth and not the horse’s bum.

I found the comments on this video to be particularly interesting. Especially this one from vxcriss.

How would you determine which ones deserve to be listed in the first 10? Throw a coin? Relevancy only works to a certain point, between the relevant pages, there has to be a competition to determine the winner. Meet the back links.”

I think this person is completely correct. Getting links to your site is a popularity contest especially if your content is good. There are a bunch of other people out there who are probably saying the same thing as you using different words and the above comment sums up the struggle of getting on the front page beautifully. Here’s the video that provoked the comment.

I think it’s a tough question to answer when you consider the fact that big business have the funds to pay for getting their links out there.
