Publishing On Kindle And My First Sale
Since starting with Kindle publishing I`ve managed to publish 3 books in total. I’d like more but I have a commitment with the Keyword Academy $1000 / month club. Today I had my first sale.
What an awesome feeling.
I just wanted to write about the advantages and disadvantages of publishing on Kindle.
First up and my biggest reason is to have another income stream. All successful marketers I know of always recommend having more than one income stream. Never assume that what you are doing now is going to last forever. Having lots of income streams is a way of preserving your income if one method should fail.
The second biggest advantage is that it’s free. You pay a small delivery fee and commission to Amazon when you make a sale but that’s it.
Thirdly, you get to use the power of Amazon. Amazon are big and have lot’s of search engine grunt. Choose the right keywords for your product and your work is done.
It’s also stupidly easy and takes a matter of minutes to actually publish once your work is prepared. You don’t have to have your own works. PLR rights is all you need.
If you decide on a popular topic you might notice a bunch of people all using the same graphic, title, intro etc. That’s a bit silly. Doesn’t take much to change it up a bit. If you make it look different and you can get on the front page people will more than likely get yours simply because it looks different so keep that in mind.
You have the ability to publish as many books as you want. This effectively creates an income stream that has no discernible limit.
The only downside to Kindle publishing is the fact that your maximum price is set at $9.99. Not really a con, more of a limitation really but I’ll get over it.

I’m Published On Kindle!!
I’m on James J Jones list for his seven dollar specials. Most of them are absolute bargains but I guess it’s all relative depending on what you are into.
Take the one I bought a couple of weeks ago about publishing on Kindle. I’ve always wanted to get in on the Kindle publishing gig but wasn’t able to because I’m in Australia.
When I finally got around to watching the quick and dirty videos I got a sudden burst of enthusiasm because it mentioned that it was now international. So off I went to get some PLR from one of my favorite PLR authors, Tiffany Dow’s PLR Mini Mart. Put it all together in word doc format and whacked it up on Kindle.
End result is I now have a book for sale on Kindle of which I get 70% of the green for any sales. That is cool. Haven’t sold any yet but I chose a seasonal topic well in advance of the season it’s targeting so don’t expect any for a while yet.
Doesn’t matter as I’ve got 5 more books in the works. Just have to knock up some original looking graphics and I’m good to go. There’s no limit to how many books you can publish and it’s so easy.
