Working Online At Home Is Just Like Any Other Job i.e. Freakin’ Boring!

Working online at home is just like any other job.  You have to do it everyday and you have to work long and hard. The upside is that unlike other jobs you can pretty much earn whatever as your earning potential is unlimited. If you want to earn more you just put more stuff out there and if you do it right, it works for 24/7. In the short run though let me tell you, it’s a long hard journey to get the infrastructure which will support the growth.

Fortunately there are lots of opportunities on the Internet which will allow you to earn a part time or full time income. Some of them take skill and knowledge and others just require a fair bit of dogged determination. There are a lot of scams out there so be careful.  Anything which says you can earn a few thousand dollars a week simply by “plugging into a system” is more than likely a bit suspect.

If you know how to type you can make a bit of cash writing for other people. If you know how to design websites with popular free CMS’s like Joomla or WordPress you can make money with those. You may not even have to know how to design with them as you can simply buy a theme and a domain and set up a website relatively cheaply. Then you can easily sell these on Ebay or your own site. Some people make a lot of money doing just that.

This is a blog about my continuing adventure as a newbie Internet Marketer. There are a lot of scams but there is also a lot of cool stuff which will get you to where you want to go.

Some I can highly recommend as a trusted and reliable sources such as The Keyword Academy,  Tracey Edwards at http://www.tracey-edwards.com and Griz at http://makemoneyonlinegrizzly.com. As a matter of fact you could probably learn everything you needed to know at Griz’s site without spending a dime. Providing you had the time to assimilate it all of course . The man is a genius.

Anyway, good luck on your journey and remember the only way to fail in the make money online game is to quit.

  • Great article. Although you are correct it is difficult to break into this market, I believe the biggest problem is that most people don’t know enough of the fundamentals to make an impact anyway. we need to find those untapped niches or focus on the long tail to carve out our little slice of a certain market.

  • Hey. I don’t normally leave comments, but I just wanted to say thanks for the great information. I have a blog too, thoughI don’t write as good as you do, but if you want to check it out here it is. Thanks again and have a great day!

One of the basic understandings we can distinguish is that merchandising is all about grabbing attention and acting upon the decision. Marketing is not just filling demand, its also about yielding demand. Now we can see, internet takes a lot of purchasers time, marketing firms are targeting any and every on-line section.

  • I think that one of the real difficulties people face when going online, especially in the current economic climate, is the need to stay focused and upbeat. It is easy to get distracted by the next great marketing scheme. And, it is easy to get discouraged when early efforts do not pay off. You have to stay motivated and keep plugging away.

I know what you mean. I like building websites and time flies when I do that side of my business. But when it comes to link building and writing articles I find that I watch the clock just like if I was sitting in an office in a J.O.B. It’s soooooooo boring but it has to be done. Unfortunately it’s probably about 90% of the whole online game so if you can’t stick with it you’re doomed.
